FAQ
Torque:
| The torque is varying too much during standstill. |
|
The supply voltage must be adjusted correctly. If the supply voltage is
too low, then the emitter reference voltage is not stable, and the
torque sensor has no stable operating point.
|
| After the zero balancing an error message appears in the display. |
| The supply voltage must be adjusted correctly. |
| Characteristic values from the calibration report of the torque sensor
must be entered into the evaluation unit. |
| The torque varies considerably at certain speeds. |
|
The test bench is running through resonance points. When looking at the
dynamic analog output of the torque signal with an oscilloscope, then you
can see this torque overshooting very well. This does not represent a
defect of the measuring system.
|
Speed:
| The speed signal varies considerably at high speeds (N > Nrated/2). |
| The speed signal processing must be balanced. |
| The speed disc has been deformed or does not run smoothly (evenness / roundness). |
| The speed disc has been contaminated considerably. |
| The phase position of both speed traces is not OK. |
| The stator/rotor positioning is incorrect. |
| The speed signal processing must be balanced. |
| The speed disc has been contaminated considerably. |
Evaluation Units:
| After engaging the evaluation unit shows an error message, e. g.
+30V defect. But the system works correctly |
|
The unit possesses a fault memory. After engaging saved faults will be indicated.
Please cancel the fault memory by setting the BCD-switch 7 (filter) for one
second on switch position 8 and then for one second on switch position 9.
Afterwards the original value should be adjusted. If the error message
appears again, the unit is defect.
|
| The supply voltage is switched off occasionally for a certain period of time. |
| NF amplifier becomes too hot. Ventilation slots covered or ventilator defective. |
