Drifted off?
High-precision torque sensors torque sensors will be assembled only by using wire strain gages. The application of these sensor elements takes place on a spring corpus according to customers' inquiry. To achieve the high long-time stability which corresponds to the perpetuation of the pickup specific characteristic value and the zero point, basic compensation measures are carried out within the analogue sensor module wiring.
A direct conversion of the analogue data into a digital data format is very advantageous, but doesn't cover the multiple designated long-time stability which is estimated by many operators of such a measurement system.
Due to the application of a high precision processor and using of complex mathematical routines GIF-torque sensors are close to this desire without abandoning on the total dynamic. That way dynamic processes up to 7 kHz can be acquired in real time.
The new torque sensors are characterised by an easy integration into the new test bench software, low number of zero point calibrations required and a high repeat accuracy of the test runs. Furthermore the analogue and digital technique are used in a way that the advantages of both techniques are implemented without accepting the disadvantages. True to the slogan: measure it analogue, trim it digital…
