GIF/APL booth

GIF and APL were represented with a collaborative booth at the International Aerospace Fair in Frankfurt, Germany exhibiting two flight Diesel drives with propeller. 140 small aggregates with belt transmission reduction are already fly-ing within the scope of an absolute APL project. The new 6 cylinder flight Diesel engine with a reduction drive developed by GIF was exhibited as an innovation. GIF also introduced some major innovations in the transmission.

The expert feedback at the collaborative booth was very promising for both GIF and APL. The exhibits were one of the highlights at the fair. In addition to many discussions with aircraft suppliers exciting contacts with big dockyards and air-craft manufacturers were also socialised.

The interest in high-performance Diesel engines for private and passenger air-crafts was very pronounced by our entire interlocutors. The flight Diesel engine can expect a successful prognosis. On the long term it will replace the conven-tional gasoline motors in the segment of single and double-engine propeller air-crafts. Therefore GIF and APL intentions were confirmed to continue their activi-ties in the new business area flight powertrains.
