The torquemeters F1i and F2i of GIF mbH which have been available for two years are now enjoying great popularity. This is particularly caused by the performed accuracy, reliability, the measurement capability and the good cost/performance ratio. Mainly, by the integration of the digital and analogue interfaces the required features for the operation are achieved. Due to the fact that no additional evaluation unit is needed, the torquemeter is extremely compact. Test bench operators esteem the following technical advantages:

  • Two different sizes for measuring ranges from 200 to 10,000 Nm

  • Free software for configuration and operation
  • Forward-looking µController technique; firmware update via RS232
  • High measuring capability by use of parameter check
  • Available with two optional measuring ranges
  • Speed sensing via magneto-resistive GMR-process with 1,024 impulses pro revolution. Due to the high signal quality detection GIF has renounced an impulse multiplication.

The torquemeters are qualified for various measurement problems. Many measuring ranges can be covered with the same precise design in the customer-specific measuring range without modification of the test bench. Future renewals and advancements can be integrated into the software subsequently. Therefore test bench operators are always up-to-date and don't need to reinvest. Due to the optional second measurement range the torquemeters can be used for efficiency measurements. Simultaneously the test bench operation time will be advanced by less conversion time.
